“I’ll never forget the first time I heard Emily sing! While I may not remember the specific song, I do remember how listening to her made me feel…She’s a breath of fresh air! Her voice is clean, crisp, strong and grounded! I remember thinking “This girl can sing!” Over the past decade, since I’ve known her, her love for singing and dreams of becoming a music teacher have never wavered. She has had some amazing opportunities and experiences singing locally at Iron Pigs games to singing at Radio City Music Hall in NYC! And in 2025, she’ll be singing at Carnegie Hall! Quite a feat!! Proud to know her always! If you ever get the chance to hear her sing, TAKE IT”

Emily McManaman is one of our most talented, dedicated, passionate, professional, fun loving teachers I’ve had the pleasure of working with at Arts Academy Charter Middle School! She brings her talents with such humility that her students are not intimidated by her awesome ability to see their talent and to foster their growth and passion for learning how to use their instrument in Vocal! She teaches them with such a kind heart and makes them see their talents within. She has that special “it” quality that you see from the moment she begins class to the full culmination when she starts conducting them in a show!!! She lead our vocalists in a performance at Radio City Music Hall in New York City… A memorable experience for our students, their families and our faculty and staff!!! Emily has high expectations for herself and her students….A quality that is admired and respected by all!!

Current AACMS vocal student
“Miss. McManaman is confident and she’s very patient with the students. She encourages the students to continue singing and is very motivated to trying new lessons. When a student makes a mistake she doesn’t correct them immediately, she goes over it slowly and makes sure to give the student a chance to fix their mistake.”
